BTS member Suga (real name: Min Yoon-Ki) was caught by police last night(6th August) while driving an electric scooter after drinking alcohol.
After finding Suga lying alone on a road in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, police confirmed that his blood alcohol level was over 0.08%, the level at which his license is revoked, and charged him with violating the Road Traffic Act.
After the incident, Suga issued an official apology through his agency, Big Hit Music, explaining that he had been riding an electric scooter after dinner, thinking it was a short distance, and fell, and that he was unaware that riding an electric scooter after drinking was legally prohibited.
The agency also stated that Suga would be fined and have his license revoked for driving under the influence.
Suga apologized directly via fan community platform Weavers, saying, I’m sorry for the disappointment this incident has caused many of you, and pledged to act more carefully in the future.

Currently, Suga is serving as a social service agent after entering the Nonsan Training Center in March, and is expected to be demobilized next June.
